The Queen, accompanied by The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duchess of Cambridge, this morning visited Fortnum and Mason, Piccadilly, London W1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer), the Lord Mayor of Westminster (Councillor Susie Burbridge), the Mayor of London (Mr Boris Johnson) and the Chairman of Piccadilly and St James’s Leadership Group and Managing Director of Fortnum and Mason (Mrs Beverley Aspinall).
The Queen, escorted by the Chairman of Fortnum and Mason (Mrs Kate Hobhouse) viewed the Honey and Preserves section and met scholars from the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust, members of staff and representatives of Westminster City Council involved in the regeneration of Piccadilly.
The Duchess of Cornwall, escorted by Mr Guy Watson (Non-Executive Director, Fortnum and Mason), viewed the bakery and confectionery counter.
The Duchess of Cambridge, escorted by the Managing Director, viewed the tea area and confectionery counter.
Her Majesty unveiled a plaque to commemorate the regeneration of Piccadilly.

His Royal Highness, Colonel, this afternoon presented leeks to the Welsh Guards, to mark St David’s Day, Cavalry Barracks, Hounslow, Middlesex.

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning attended “the Biggest Book Show on Earth” to mark World Book Day, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London SE1.

The Duke of York today carried out the following engagements in Bangkok, Thailand.
His Royal Highness this morning received the Minister of Foreign Affairs at the St Regis Hotel.
The Duke of York afterwards received the Minister of Commerce at the St Regis Hotel.
His Royal Highness subsequently called upon the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand at Government House.
The Duke of York this afternoon received the Vice Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group Company Limited at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand (His Excellency Mr Asif Ahmad).
His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Meeting for representatives of the “Next Generation” at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador.
The Duke of York latterly received Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Burma (His Excellency Mr Andrew Heyn) at the St Regis Hotel.
His Royal Highness later called upon Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at Sra Prathum Palace.

The Princess Royal this morning opened the new offices of Macduff Ship Design Limited and subsequently visited Macduff Shipyards and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Banffshire (Mrs Clare Russell).
Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened Chalmers Hospital, Clunie Street, Banff, Banffshire.
The Princess Royal was represented by Mrs William Nunneley at the Service of Thanksgiving for Mr Josh Gifford which was held in Chichester Cathedral, West Sussex, this afternoon.

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Nuffield Farming Scholarships Trust, this afternoon attended a Reception at New Zealand House, 80 Haymarket, London SW1.
