COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen, as Sovereign of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, with The Duke of Edinburgh, Grand Master, drove to St. Paul’s Cathedral this morning to attend a Service of the Order.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were received at the foot of the Cathedral Steps by Alderman David Wootton (Lord Mayor) and at the Great West Door by the Chapter of St. Paul’s, the Bishop of London (Prelate of the Order) and the Lay Officials of the Order.

Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms and The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.

The Rt. Hon. David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.

By command of The Queen, Mr. Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Lyubomir Kyuchukov at 186-188 Queen’s Gate, London SW7, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from Bulgaria to the Court of St. James’s.

Prince Henry of Wales, representing The Queen, today carried out the following engagements in Jamaica to mark Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee.

His Royal Highness this morning visited the Jamaican Defence Force at Up Park Camp and was received by Major-General Antony Anderson (Chief of the Defence Staff).

Prince Henry of Wales afterwards laid a flower at William Knibb Memorial Baptist Church, Falmouth.

His Royal Highness later restarted the restored historic clock at St. Peter’s Church, Falmouth.

Prince Henry of Wales this afternoon laid a wreath at the War Memorial, Water Square, Falmouth.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception given by the Jamaican Government at Sandals Cay, Kokomo Island.

The Duke of York this morning received Mr. John Griffith-Jones (Chairman, KPMG UK) and the Lord Hastings of Scarisbrick (Global Head of Citizenship and Diversity, KPMG International).

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, this morning viewed the renovations at Award House, St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, West Indies.

His Royal Highness later visited Antigua Grammar School, Old Parham Road, St. John’s.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex afterwards viewed the renovations at St. John’s Cathedral, St. John’s.

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon attended a Lunch given by the Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda (Her Excellency Dame Louise Lake-Tack) at Jumby Bay.

The Countess of Wessex this morning visited the Paediatric Ward of Mount St. John’s Hospital, St. John’s.

Her Royal Highness later visited Princess Margaret Secondary School, St. John’s.

The Countess of Wessex subsequently visited the Adele School for Special Children, Friars Hill Road.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex later departed V.C. Bird International Airport, St. John’s, for the United Kingdom.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the United Kingdom Pony Club, this morning attended the Annual Conference at Belfast Waterfront, 2 Lanyon Place, Belfast, and was received by Sir Nigel Hamilton (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited the SOS Bus Northern Ireland and attended a Volunteers Reception at Hillsborough Castle and was received by Mrs. Fionnuala Cook (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of County Down).

The Princess Royal, Patron, College of Occupational Therapists, afterwards attended the “Innovation in Practice” Occupational Therapy Northern Ireland Conference, Parliament Buildings, Stormont, Belfast.

Her Royal Highness later visited Project 500 at Holywood Library, Sullivan Building, 86-88 High Street, Holywood, County Down.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Virgin Islands Search and Rescue Headquarters, Road Reef, Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Bregado Flax Educational Centre, Virgin Gorda, to commemorate its Thirtieth Anniversary.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited Virgin Gorda Copper Mine National Park, Virgin Gorda.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Ashford Waters Community Centre, Virgin Gorda.

The Duke of Gloucester later visited the Old Sugar Works, Nail Bay, Virgin Gorda.

His Royal Highness subsequently attended a Luncheon at Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, Virgin Gorda.

The Duke of Gloucester later visited Oil Nut Bay, Virgin Gorda.
