Prince Henry of Wales this morning arrived at Rio de Janeiro Airport and was received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil (His Excellency Mr Alan Charlton).

His Royal Highness this evening attended the launch of Her Majesty’s Government’s Great campaign at Sugar Loaf Mountain, Rio de Janeiro.

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal, Chancellor, University of London, this morning opened the ArtsTwo Building, Queen Mary University of London, Mile End Road, London E1.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon attended the Grand Military Race Meeting at Sandown Park Racecourse, Portsmouth Road, Esher, and was received by Dr Roger Hood (Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey).

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Salt Island, British Virgin Islands.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Road Town Methodist Church Hurricane Shelter, Road Town, Tortola.

The Duke of Gloucester later visited the Sugar Works Museum and Art and Photographic Exhibition at Lower Estate Sugar Works, Station Road, Road Town.

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Eighth Annual Caribbean Arts and Crafts Festival at Aragorn Studios, Trellis Bay, Beef Island.

The Duke of Gloucester later departed from Beef Island for the United Kingdom.
