COURT CIRCULAR

Windsor Castle 

The Queen held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

Afterwards Captain Devkumar Gurung, The Queen’s Gurkha Engineers, and Captain Chinbahadur Thapa, The Royal Gurkha Rifles, (The Queen’s Gurkha Orderly Officers) were received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested them with the Insignia of Members of the Royal Victorian Order.

Clarence House 

The Prince of Wales today visited Cumbria and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (Sir James Cropper).

His Royal Highness this morning visited Staveley Mill Yard, Kendal.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Wordsworth Trust, afterwards visited Dove Cottage, the Wordsworth Museum and Art Gallery, Grasmere.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Wigton in celebration of the Seven Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the granting of the town’s Market Charter.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, The Prince’s Countryside Fund, later visited Greystone House Farm, Penrith.

His Royal Highness subsequently visited Dalemaine Historic House, Penrith, to celebrate the International World Marmalade Festival and Awards.

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited Jamie’s Farm, Hill House Farm, Ditteridge, and was received by Her Majesty’s LordLieutenant of Wiltshire (Mrs Peter Troughton).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum, today attended a Reception at Westonbirt Arboretum, Tetbury, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Dame Janet Trotter).

Buckingham Palace 

The Duke of York, Patron, Police Treatment Centres, this afternoon received Mr Ian Poultney (Chairman of the Board of Trustees) and Mr Michael Baxter (Chief Executive).

The Princess Royal today visited West Yorkshire and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (Dr Ingrid Roscoe).

Her Royal Highness this morning visited Ilkley Brewery Company, the New Brewery, Ashlands Road, Ilkley.

The Princess Royal afterwards visited Lishman’s of Ilkley, 25 Leeds Road, Ilkley.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened Diamond Jubilee House, Keighley Civic Centre, North Street, Keighley.

The Princess Royal later visited Jenny’s Ice Cream, Hazel Slack Farm, Rishworth Road, Barkisland.

Her Royal Highness subsequently visited the exhibition, “Royal Harewood: Celebrating the Life of the Yorkshire Princess”, and the “Marcus Adams: Royal Photographer, Photographs from the Royal Collection” exhibition at Harewood House.

St James’s Palace 

The Duke of Kent this morning visited Spectrum Branks UK Limited, Rayovac Division, Stephenson Road, Washington, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear (Mr Nigel Sherlock).

His Royal Highness afterwards officially opened the Jubilee Wing at Sunderland Royal Hospital, Kayll Road, Sunderland.

The Duke of Kent this afternoon visited the Beacon, Westgate Road, Newcastle upon Tyne.
