COURT CIRCULAR

Windsor Castle 

The Queen held a Council at 12.40 pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Nicholas Clegg MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Theresa May MP (Secretary of State for the Home Department and Minister for Women and Equalities), the Lord Strathclyde (Leader of the House of Lords and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster) and the Rt Hon Sir George Young (Leader of the House of Commons and Lord Privy Seal).

Mrs Ceri King was in attendance as Deputy Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Nicholas Clegg MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.

The Queen was represented by Major General Martin White (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight) at the Memorial Service for the Lord Mottistone (formerly Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight) which was held in Newport Minster, Isle of Wight, this afternoon.

The Duke of Edinburgh was represented by Lieutenant Colonel Sir Guy Acland, Bt.

The Duke of York was represented by Mr Alastair Watson.

The Princess Royal was represented by Captain Nicholas Wright RN.

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl of Wessex this afternoon opened the new Outpatient facilities at Oak Road Patient Treatment Centre, the Christie Hospital, Oak Road, Withington, and was received by Mr Michael Oglesby (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester).

His Royal Highness, Patron, Royal Exchange Theatre Company, this evening attended a Dinner and performance of Wonderful Town at the Lowry Theatre, Salford Quays, Salford, Greater Manchester.
