Windsor Castle 

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Jean, Countess of Carnarvon at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Mrs Gerard Leigh which was held in the Church of St Mary the Virgin, Kintbury, Berkshire, today.

Clarence House 

The Duchess of Cornwall, also representing The Prince of Wales, attended the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Mrs Gerard Leigh which was held in the Church of St Mary the Virgin, Kintbury, Berkshire, today.

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl of Wessex, President, Creative Youth, this evening attended a Gala Dinner at the Richmond Hill Hotel, Richmond Hill, Richmond upon Thames, Surrey, and was received by Sir Kenneth Knight (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The Queen in celebration of the Diamond Jubilee, and accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this morning arrived at Johannesburg Airport and was received by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of South Africa (Her Excellency Dame Nicola Brewer).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, subsequently visited Tembisa Hospital, Gauteng.

The Princess Royal, Commandant-in-Chief (Youth), St John Ambulance, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence later visited St John Eye Hospital, Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

Her Royal Highness, President, Save the Children UK, this afternoon visited Cotlands Turffontein Resource Centre, 134 Stanton Street, Turffontein, Johannesburg.

The Princess Royal, President, World Horse Welfare, and President, Riding for the Disabled Association, afterwards visited Soweto Equestrian Foundation, Lefatola and Gumede Street, Moroka, Soweto, Johannesburg.

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended a Reception given by the British High Commissioner to commemorate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at the Residence in Pretoria.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, later attended a Dinner given by the British High Commissioner to South Africa at Brasserie de Paris, 381 Aries Street, Pretoria.

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester this morning attended the inauguration of the Memorial to Private Charles McCorrie VC at the Msida Bastion Historic Garden, Msida Bastion, Valletta, Malta.

His Royal Highness subsequently visited Inspire, the Foundation for Inclusion at the Therapy and Leisure Centre, Zinzell Street, Marsaskala, and afterwards visited Inspire Education and Employment Centre, Bulubel, Zejtun.

The Duke of Gloucester this evening arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Malta.

Mr Alistair Wood was in attendance.
