Windsor Castle 

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Sir Thomas Dunne KG (formerly Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire) at the Memorial Service for the Viscount Ridley KG (formerly Lord Steward and Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Northumberland) which was held in the Cathedral Church of St Nicholas, Newcastle upon Tyne, this afternoon.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall were represented by the Duke of Northumberland.

The Duke of York was represented by Mr Nigel Sherlock.

The Earl of Wessex was represented by Mr Algernon Heber-Percy.

The Princess Royal was represented by Lady Carew Pole.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by the Duchess of Northumberland.

The Duke and Duchess of Kent were represented by Major General Sir Simon Cooper.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy was represented by Lady Dunne.

Clarence House 

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, President, The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community, this morning held a Meeting.

His Royal Highness afterwards received Mr Luke Borwick (Chairman, Scottish Land and Estates) and Mr Douglas McAdam (Chief Executive).

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning attended a Breakfast Meeting at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London W1.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the International Council, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Association, later held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

The Earl of Wessex, Honorary Liveryman, the Worshipful Company of Fuellers, this afternoon attended the Election Court Luncheon at the Mansion House, London EC4.

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal, President, Save the Children UK, this afternoon visited the Gobo-Gobo Community Project, Gondola, Manica Province, Mozambique.

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, later visited Mozfoods, Vanduzi, Manica Province.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Opportunity International United Kingdom, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, afterwards visited Banco Oportunidade de Mozambique Mobile Banking Unit, Vanduzi.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Voluntary Service Overseas, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, later attended a Reception at la Plaza, Chimoio, Manica Province.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening departed Mozambique for the United Kingdom.

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Construction Youth Trust, this evening attended a Dinner for The Duke of Gloucester’s Young Achievers Scheme at Mosimann’s, West Halkin Street, London SW1.

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon departed Heathrow Airport, London, for Sweden.
