COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace 

The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, this morning presented new Colours to the 1st Battalion and No. 7 Company Coldstream Guards in the Quadrangle of Windsor Castle.

Having been received upon arrival by the Colonel of the Regiment (Lieutenant Colonel James Bucknall), Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were received on Parade with a Royal Salute.

The Queen then inspected the Parade.

After the presentation of new Colours, Her Majesty was graciously pleased to address the Regiment and the Regimental Lieutenant Colonel (Brigadier Greville Bibby) replied.

The Parade subsequently Marched Past The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

Later Her Majesty and His Royal Highness attended a Reception at Victoria Barracks, Windsor, Berkshire.

Clarence House 

The Prince of Wales this morning received Mr Thomas Scholar (Second Permanent Secretary to Her Majesty’s Treasury).

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Diamond Jubilee River Pageant, and The Duchess of Cornwall today received Mr Michael Lockett (Chief Executive, Thames Diamond Jubilee Foundation) and Mr Adrian Evans (Pageant Master and Director).

His Royal Highness, President, this afternoon held a Meeting at Clarence House for The Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts.

The Prince of Wales this evening attended the Annual Conference Dinner for the College of Medicine at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Sussex Place, Regent’s Park, London NW1.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the English Chamber Orchestra and Music Society, and The Duchess of Cornwall were represented by Lady Solti at the Funeral of Mr Leopold de Rothschild (President) which was held in St Katherine’s Church, Exbury, Hampshire, today.

Buckingham Palace 

The Duke of York, on behalf of The Queen in celebration of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee, today carried out the following engagements in Kolkata, India, and was received this morning by Mr Sanjay Wadvani (Deputy British High Commissioner for Eastern India).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Women’s Interlink Foundation Centre.

The Duke of York afterwards visited the Tata Medical Institute.

His Royal Highness later opened the Science Laboratory at the Future Hope School.

The Duke of York this evening attended a Reception at the Taj Bangal Hotel to mark The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl of Wessex, Honorary Liveryman, the Worshipful Company of Coopers, this evening attended a Court Dinner at Coopers’ Hall, 13 Devonshire Square, London EC2.

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester this morning opened the Jean Brown Indoor Arena at Redbridge Sports and Leisure Club, Forest Road, Barkingside, Essex, and was received by Colonel Paul Acda (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Building Centre Trust, this afternoon visited the Building Centre, Store Street, London WC1, to mark its Eightieth Anniversary.

The Duke of Gloucester, President, British Expertise, this evening attended a Reception at the House of Lords, London SW1.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Honorary President, the Lawn Tennis Association, this afternoon attended the first of the Test Days for Wheelchair Tennis at Eton Manor, Olympic Park, Stratford, London E15.
