General Sir Peter Wall (Chief of the General Staff) was received by The Queen this afternoon.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Duke of York, on behalf of The Queen in celebration of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee, today carried out the following engagements in Chennai, India, and was received by Mr Mike Nithavrianakis (British Deputy High Commissioner to Eastern India).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Indian Officers Training Academy in their Golden Jubilee Year.

The Duke of York afterwards visited the Madras War Graves Cemetery and laid a wreath.

His Royal Highness subsequently attended a Service in St Mary’s Church to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee.

The Duke of York this evening attended a Reception to mark Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee at the Residence of the Deputy British High Commissioner.

His Royal Highness later arrived in Bangalore and was received by Mr Ian Felton (Deputy British High Commissioner, Bangalore).

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester this morning received Admiral the Lord Boyce (Chairman, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution).

His Royal Highness later visited the Olympic Park, Stratford, London E15.
