Clarence House 

The Prince of Wales this morning launched the Royal Entomological Society’s National Insect Week with scientists and children in the garden of Clarence House.

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Rare Breeds Survival Trust, afterwards received Mr Peter Titley (President).

The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited military patients at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Mindelsohn Way, Edgbaston, Birmingham.

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this morning visited The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Campus, University of Gloucestershire, the Park, Cheltenham, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Dame Janet Trotter).

Their Royal Highnesses today attended the presentation of the Heart of Gloucestershire Community Awards at Cheltenham Racecourse. The Earl and Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended a Service in Gloucester Cathedral to mark The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, followed by a Garden Party in the Cathedral grounds.

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, today visited Hearing Dogs for Deaf People at the Grange, Wycombe Road, near Saunderton, Princes Risborough, on the occasion of their Thirtieth Anniversary, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Bt).

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester today visited North Yorkshire and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (the Lord Crathorne).

His Royal Highness this morning visited St Peter’s Church, Cambridge Road, Harrogate.

The Duke of Gloucester later visited Giggleswick School, Settle, to mark its Five Hundredth Anniversary.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited St George’s Roman Catholic Primary School, 1 Winterscale Street, Fishergate, York.

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards visited Chocolate, York’s Sweet Story, King’s Square, York.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park 

Princess Alexandra, Honorary Patron, American Associates of the Royal Academy Trust, this evening gave a Reception at St James’s Palace.
