Buckingham Palace
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon arrived at Hambleden Lock, Henley-on-Thames, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (the Hon Mrs Bayliss).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness embarked in the Thames Steamer Alaska and travelled upstream.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh disembarked at Henley Business School, University of Reading, Greenlands, Henley-on-Thames, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Bt), Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire (Mr Timothy Stevenson) and the Chancellor of the University of Reading (Sir John Madejski).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness viewed the Three Counties River Pageant before attending a Garden Party at Henley Business School given by the Three Counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire in celebration of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh subsequently witnessed a fly-past by helicopters of the Royal Air Force.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron and Twelfth Man, the Lord’s Taverners, this evening held a Lady Taverners Anniversary Dinner at Windsor Castle.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Coubertin Olympic Awards — Ethics, Business and Sport Student Essay Competition, this evening presented the Awards at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, South Bank Centre, Belvedere Road, London SE1.
Her Royal Highness, Patron, Spinal Injuries Association, later attended a Dinner at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London W1.
Kensington Palace
The Duke of Gloucester, Senior Fellow, this morning visited the Royal College of Art Show, Kensington Gore, London SW7.
St James’s Palace
The Duke of Kent, President, All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, today attended the Opening Day of the Lawn Tennis Championships in Church Road, Wimbledon, London SW19.
