Buckingham Palace
The Earl of Wessex, Commodore-in-Chief, Royal Fleet Auxiliary, this morning visited HMS Vengeance at Her Majesty’s Naval Base, Plymouth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Devon (Mr Eric Dancer).
His Royal Highness, representing The Queen, later took the salute at the Armed Forces Day Parade in Plymouth Hoe, before attending the Drumhead Service and, this afternoon, witnessing the steam past.
The Countess of Wessex, Colonel-in-Chief, Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps, this morning attended the Armed Forces Day and Medal Parade in Exhibition Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear (Mr Nigel Sherlock).

The Duke of Kent today attended the Goodwood Festival of Speed near Chichester, West Sussex.
