The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning attended a National Service of Thanksgiving for Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee in Glasgow Cathedral and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow (Councillor Sadie Docherty, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost) and at the West Door of the Cathedral by the Minister (the Reverend Dr Laurence Whitley) and the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland (the Right Reverend Albert Bogle).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness drove to George Square where The Queen met winners of The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service and representatives from Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games organising committee and athletes, whilst The Duke of Edinburgh met winners of The Queen’s Award for Trade and Enterprise, representatives from Royal Strathclyde Blindcraft Industries and, as Patron, those who have achieved the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness this afternoon visited St Margaret of Scotland Hospice, East Barns Street, Clydebank, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dunbartonshire (Rear Admiral Michael Gregory), the Chairman of the Board (Professor Leo Martin), Sister Rita Dawson (Chief Executive) and the Provost of West Dunbartonshire Council (Mr Douglas McAllister).
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were afterwards entertained to Luncheon in the grounds of Our Holy Redeemer Primary School, East Barns Street, Clydebank.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness later arrived in Cathcart Square, Greenock, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Renfrewshire (Mr Guy Clark).
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh viewed a model of Inverclyde Regeneration Area and Her Majesty subsequently met representatives from Inverclyde Community Development Trust and Inverclyde Tourist Group/ClydePort, escorted by the Provost of Inverclyde Council (Councillor Robert Moran), whilst His Royal Highness met representatives from Ocean Youth Trust Scotland and Port Glasgow Otters, escorted by the Chief Executive of Inverclyde Council (Mr John Mundell).
The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, afterwards officially opened the Customer Service Centre at Inverclyde Council Municipal Buildings.

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall and The Duchess of Cornwall today visited Cornwall and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (Colonel Edward Bolitho).
His Royal Highness, Patron, this morning received a tree from the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association to mark the Sixtieth Anniversary of becoming Duke of Cornwall.
The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, Patron, the Red Squirrel Survival Trust, later attended a Meeting at the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery, Lostwithiel.
Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon met Cornish Cadets taking part in a training exercise in Park Road, Lostwithiel.
The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, President, The Prince’s Regeneration Trust, afterwards visited the Duchy Palace restoration project on Quay Street, Lostwithiel.
The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust, this morning opened the new Headquarters at Newquay Airport as part of the Trust’s Twenty Fifth Anniversary celebrations.
Buckingham Palace
The Duke of York, Colonel-in-Chief, Small Arms School Corps, and Patron, Army Rifle Association, this afternoon presented The Queen’s Medals to prize winners from the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, the Army and the Royal Air Force at the National Shooting Centre, Bisley, Surrey.
Buckingham Palace
The Earl and Countess of Wessex, in celebration of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, this afternoon visited Rotherfield St Martin Centre, Rotherfield Memorial Institute, North Street, Rotherfield, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of East Sussex (Mr Peter Field).
Their Royal Highnesses later visited Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club’s newly built American Express Community Stadium in Village Way, Falmer, East Sussex.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex afterwards officially opened the new Sports Pavilion and Sports Centre at Brighton College, Eastern Road, Brighton, East Sussex.
Their Royal Highnesses this evening attended a Reception and subsequently attended a Dinner at the Royal Pavilion, Brighton.
Buckingham Palace
The Princess Royal, President, British Olympic Association, this morning visited Team GB Preparation Camp at Loughborough University and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire (Jennifer, Lady Gretton).
Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened Brooksby Melton College Animal and Equine Centre, Brooksby College, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.
The Princess Royal later opened the new Warning Zone Interactive Learning Environment, 20 Frog Island, Leicester.
Kensington Palace
The Duke of Gloucester, President, British Expertise, this morning received Mr Stephen Taylor upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr Michael Blackburn upon assuming the appointment.
His Royal Highness this evening re-opened Cambridge House, Addington Square, Camberwell, London SE5.
The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Friends of St Paul’s Cathedral, this afternoon attended the Sixtieth Anniversary Annual Festival Service in St Paul’s Cathedral, London EC4.
St James’s Palace
The Duke of Kent, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys), this afternoon attended the dedication of the Memorial Window to Field Marshal Sir John Stanier in the Royal Memorial Chapel Sandhurst, Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Camberley, Surrey.
