Buckingham Palace
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh today visited the South East in celebration of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness this morning viewed a Parade of Sail in the Solent off the Isle of Wight from MY Leander and were received with a Gun Salute.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh disembarked from MY Leander at Trinity Landing, Cowes, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Isle of Wight (Major General Martin White) and the Cowes Harbourmaster (Mr Stuart McIntosh).
The Queen, escorted by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant, and The Duke of Edinburgh, escorted by Mrs Martin White, walked to Victoria Parade and viewed a performance of the Jubilee Anthem and were received by the Mayor of Cowes (Councillor David Walters).
Her Majesty, Patron, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, accompanied by His Royal Highness, afterwards opened Cowes Lifeboat Station, Watch House Lane, Cowes, and was received by the Chairman of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (the Lord Boyce) and the Chairman of Cowes Lifeboat (Mr David Hembury).
The Queen, escorted by Mr Mark Southwell (Royal National Lifeboat Institution Operations Manager), and The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by the Chairman, toured the Lifeboat Station, meeting crew members and donors.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness attended a Service of Dedication and subsequently viewed the launch of a Lifeboat.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh later visited Cowes Yacht Haven, Vectis Yard, High Street, Cowes, and were received by Sir Guy Acland (Vice Lord-Lieutenant), the Chairman (Mr Paul Kelsey) and the Mayor of East Cowes (Mrs Trevor Rann).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness met representatives from youth, water activities and volunteering groups and viewed a photographic montage of Osborne House.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon visited the New Forest and Hampshire County Show, the Showground, New Park, Brockenhurst, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Dame Mary Fagan).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness visited the “Old Time Farming” area and, having been received by the President of the New Forest and Hampshire County Show (Mr Alan Titchmarsh) and the Chairman of the New Forest Agricultural Show Society (Mr Geoff Morgan), viewed a display of vintage tractors and the Blacksmith Area.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were entertained to Luncheon this afternoon by the New Forest and Hampshire County Show.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness afterwards walked to the “Best of British” Pavilion and viewed displays of local crafts and produce.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh viewed a Parade of sixty New Forest Ponies in the East Ring and subsequently met local pony breeders and viewed New Forest Ponies and a wood branding demonstration in “New Forest Corner”.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness afterwards visited the “Local Food and Farming” Area and viewed displays of produce and a “Show Farm” and met producers.
The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.
Sir David Brewer (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, today upon the arrival of The President of Iceland and The President of the Republic of the Marshall Islands and welcomed Their Excellencies on behalf of Her Majesty.
The Lord Petre (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex) was present at Stansted Airport today upon the arrival of The President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire and The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and welcomed Their Excellencies on behalf of The Queen.
Brigadier David Harrison (Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire) was present at Farnborough Airport today upon the Arrival of The President of the Federative Republic of Brazil and welcomed Her Excellency on behalf of The Queen.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited the Sandringham Flower Show.
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended a Prince’s Charities’ Meeting at the Haringey Mencap Community Centre, Bell Brewery, 676 Tottenham High Road, Tottenham, London N17, and afterwards His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Trust, and Her Royal Highness witnessed the exchange of the Olympic Torch outside the Community Centre, and were received by Major Rosemary Warne (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duke of York this morning received Dr Ma Weihua (President, China Merchants Bank).
His Royal Highness afterwards called upon The King and Queen of Malaysia at Claridges, Brook Street, London W1.
The Duke of York this evening gave a China-United Kingdom Business Dinner at Windsor Castle.

The Princess Royal, Member, International Olympic Committee this morning attended the International Olympic Committee Session at the Grosvenor House Hotel, 90 Park Lane, London W1.
Her Royal Highness this evening attended the World Olympians Association Gala at St James’s Palace.

The Duke of Kent, President, this morning received Air Marshal Christopher Nickols upon assuming his appointment as Controller of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.
His Royal Highness, President, the Scout Association, today received Sir Alan Craft (Chairman), Mr Derek Twine (Chief Executive) and Mr Wayne Bulpitt (United Kingdom Chief Commissioner).
