The Queen arrived at Balmoral Castle today, was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire (Mr James Ingleby) and then inspected the Royal Guard found by A (Grenadier) Company The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this morning opened the National Coastwatch Institution Dorset Training Centre, National Coastwatch Institution Portland Bill Lookout, Old Higher Lighthouse Road, Portland Bill, and presented The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset (Mrs Anthony Pitt-Rivers).
