Balmoral Castle

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Sir Thomas Dunne KG (formerly Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Mr Michael Brinton (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire) which was held in Worcester Cathedral this afternoon.

The Princess Royal was represented by Mrs William Nunneley.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by Professor David Green.

The Duke of Kent was represented by Mr Algernon Heber-Percy.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy was represented by Lady Dunne.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Vice Patron, the Commonwealth Games Federation, this morning held a Meeting.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Butler Trust, this afternoon visited Her Majesty’s Prison and Young Offender Institution Gloucester, Barrack Square, Gloucester, and was received by Mr Robert Bernays, (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire).

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Minchinhampton Golf Club, Minchinhampton, Stroud, Gloucestershire, and planted a tree to commemorate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited the Windsor Concours d’Elegance at Windsor Castle.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester today visited the Paralympic Games.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra this afternoon opened Caerlaverock Shop and Tearoom, Glencaple, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dumfries (Mrs Jean Tulloch).
