COURT CIRCULAR

Balmoral Castle 

Mr Doug King was received by The Queen this morning upon relinquishment of his appointment as Assistant Private Secretary to Her Majesty when The Queen invested him with the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order.

St James’s Palace 

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, representing The Queen, this morning visited Danum Valley Field Centre, Lahad Datu, Malaysia, to mark Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee.

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl of Wessex this morning attended a Breakfast Meeting with 8 Wing Royal Canadian Air Force 182 Yukon Street, Canadian Forces Base, Trenton, Ontario, Canada.

His Royal Highness later toured 8 Wing Air Mobility Centre, Caribou Street, Canadian Forces Base, Trenton.

The Earl of Wessex subsequently attended a Veterans Reception and unveiled the 426 Squadron Memorial Wall, Caribou Street.

His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment, afterwards visited a Field Exercise, Wesleyville Training Site, Ontario.

The Earl of Wessex, on behalf of The Duke of Edinburgh, this afternoon took the Salute at The Royal Hamilton Light Infantry Trooping the Colour and subsequently attended a Reception, Hamilton, Ontario.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Canadian Army Working Dinner with the Minister of National Defence (the Hon Peter MacKay) and the Army Commanders at The Royal Hamilton Light Infantry, John Weir Foote Armoury, Hamilton.

The Countess of Wessex, Colonel-in-Chief, this morning took the Salute at The Lincoln and Welland Regiment Trooping of the Colour, Queenston Heights, Niagara Parkway, Queenston, Niagara.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Niagara College Teaching Winery and attended a Reception at 135 Taylor Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Niagara.

The Countess of Wessex, Colonel-in-Chief, Lincoln and Welland Regiment, later attended the Regimental Family Barbeque at Lake Street, Armoury, St. Catharines, Niagara.

The Duke of Kent, President, this afternoon attended the Council in Conference of the Scout Association at Baden-Powell House, Queen’s Gate, London SW7.
