Balmoral Castle

The Queen was represented by Lieutenant Colonel Peter Chamberlin (formerly Lieutenant, Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Colonel David Fanshawe (formerly Lieutenant, Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms) which was held in the Royal Memorial Chapel, Sandhurst, Camberley, Surrey, this afternoon.

The Duke of Edinburgh was represented by Major General George Norton.

The Princess Royal was represented by Mrs Timothy Holderness-Roddam.

Buckingham Palace 

The Duke of York, Patron, this morning opened Hackney University Technical College, Falkirk Street, London N1.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Lunch at the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation Private Limited, York House, 45 Seymour Street, London W1.

The Duke of York, Patron, the Peter Jones Foundation, this afternoon held a Reception for the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy Ambassadors at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness later received Mr António Horta-Osório (Group Chief Executive, Lloyds Banking Group).

The Duke of York received the Rt Hon Owen Paterson MP (Minister of State, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs).

Buckingham Palace

The Countess of Wessex, Chairman, Women in Business Meeting, promoting The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning attended a Meeting at the Brooklyn Brothers, 11-29 Smiths Court, London W1.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon was installed as President of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children at Regent’s College, Regent’s Park, London NW1.

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Avon Meadows Community Wetland, Pershore, and was received by Mrs Michael Brinton (Deputy Lieutenant of Worcestershire).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Roundabout, 7A Blackminster Business Park, Blackminster, Evesham, Worcestershire.

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards visited Kanes Food Limited, Cleeve Road, Middle Littleton, Evesham.

His Royal Highness later visited Pebworth Fire Station, Pebworth, Worcestershire.
