Windsor Castle 

The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Member, Smeatonian Society of Civil Engineers, was represented by Dr Alastair Soane (Vice President) at the Memorial Meeting for the Life of the Lord Chilver (former President) which was held in the Vincent Building, Cranfield University, Bedfordshire, this morning.

Clarence House 

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, Royal Colonel, this morning received Lieutenant Colonel the Viscount Chelsea upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer 51st Highland, 7th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, and Lieutenant Colonel Peter Little upon assuming the appointment, and Lieutenant Colonel Edward Fenton upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, and Lieutenant Colonel Adrian Reilly upon assuming the appointment.

His Royal Highness, Royal Colonel, later presented Operational Service Medals to 51st Highland, 7th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland.
