His Excellency Dr Jaimini Bhagwati was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for India in London.
Mrs Bhagwati was also received by Her Majesty.
Her Excellency Ms Alicia Castro was received in audience by Her Majesty and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Argentina to the Court of St James’s.
Mr Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.
Sir Mark Lyall Grant was received by The Queen upon his appointment as Permanent Representative and Ambassador to the United Nations.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace this evening for the organisers and supporters of the celebrations for Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee.
The Duke of York, accompanied by Princess Beatrice of York and Princess Eugenie of York, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and The Duke of Kent were present.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Member, the SS Robin Trust, this morning received Mr and Mrs David Kampfner (Co-Founders).
His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, The Queen’s Royal Hussars (The Queen’s Own and Royal Irish), received Colonel Ian Mortimer upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel James Howard upon assuming the appointment.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Northolt, received Group Captain Timothy O’Brien (Station Commander).
His Royal Highness, Senior Fellow, this afternoon officially opened Prince Phillip House at the Royal Academy of Engineering, 3 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Rear Admiral Colin Cooke-Priest (Extra Gentleman Usher to The Queen) at the Memorial Service for Sir Carron Greig (formerly Extra Gentleman Usher to The Queen) which was held in the Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, Birdcage Walk, London SW1, this morning.
The Prince of Wales was represented by Captain Michael Fulford-Dobson.
The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by Group Captain Hugh Rolfe.
The Duke of Kent was represented by Brigaider George Nickerson.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Nottingham High School, Waverley Mount, Nottingham.
The Duke of York later visited Vision West Nottinghamshire College Construction and Logistics Skills Academy, Julias Way, off Lowmoor Road, Station Park, Kirkby in Ashfield.

The Princess Royal this morning visited J and D Wilkie Limited and presented The Queen’s Award for Enterprise at Marywell Works, Marywell Brae, Kirriemuir, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Angus (Mrs Georgiana Osborne).
Her Royal Highness, President, Victim Support Scotland, later attended Victim Support Angus Twentieth Anniversary Reception at Angus Council, 5-7 the Cross, Forfar, Angus.
The Princess Royal, President, Save the Children UK, this afternoon visited Save the Children UK Angus Branch Annual Autumn Fair at Guthrie Castle, Guthrie, Forfar.
Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Mackays Limited and presented The Queen’s Award for Enterprise, Unit 4-5, James Chalmers Road, Kirkton Industrial Estate, Arbroath, Angus.
The Princess Royal, Member, the Royal British Legion Scotland, later attended Carnoustie Victoria Cross Rededication Ceremony at Carnoustie War Memorial, Dundee Street, Carnoustie, Angus.

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon opened a Garden to mark The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at Chester Cathedral and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire (Mr David Briggs).
Her Royal Highness afterwards presented The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service to Dee Sign Choir of Chester and Chester Adult Physically Handicapped and Able Bodied Social Club at Chester Town Hall, Northgate Street, Chester.
The Duchess of Gloucester later presented the O2 Think Big Young People Jubilee Awards at O2 Preston Brook, Chester Road, Runcorn, Cheshire.
