Buckingham Palace

The Queen held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Lieutenant Colonel Sir Andrew Ford was received by The Queen when Her Majesty conferred upon him the honour of Knighthood and invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.

Sir Alan Reid was received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, the Air League, this afternoon attended a Luncheon at the Royal Aeronautical Society, Hamilton Place, London W1.

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning unveiled the Marlborough Tiled Mural commemorating The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at Marlborough Town Hall, 5 High Street, Marlborough, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire (Mrs Sarah Troughton).

The Duke of York this evening attended a Dinner at Windsor Castle to celebrate Champions Day at Ascot Racecourse.
