Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Fatumanava Dr Pa’ olelei Luteru was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for Samoa in London.

Mrs Luteru was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr Witold Sobkow was received in audience by Her Majesty and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Poland to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Sobkow was also received by Her Majesty.

Mr Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

The Queen, Patron, Protector and Supporter, Royal Academy of Arts, received Mr Christopher Le Brun (President) and Mr Charles Saumarez Smith (Secretary and Chief Executive).

The Viscount of Arbuthnott was received by Her Majesty and delivered up the Badge and Star of the Order of the Thistle worn by his father, the late Viscount of Arbuthnott.

The Queen, Patron, this afternoon visited the Royal Commonwealth Society, 25 Northumberland Avenue, London WC2, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieuenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer) and the Chairman (Mr Peter Kellner).

Her Majesty met Jubilee Time Capsule participants from the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth and winners of the Commonwealth Essay Competition and activated a video on a computer tablet.

The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, today attended Receptions at St James’s Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Clarence House

Today is the Anniversary of the Birthday of The Prince of Wales.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, on behalf of The Queen in celebration of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee, this morning arrived in Wellington, New Zealand, and having been received by the Governor-General of New Zealand (Lieutenant General the Rt Hon Sir Jeremiah Mateparae), attended a Ceremonial Welcome at Government House.

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards opened the Diamond Jubilee Visitor Centre at Government House.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon met Waka paddlers who participated in the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant, Hare Waka.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Weta Workshops, Camperdown Road, Miramar.

The Prince of Wales later received the Prime Minister of New Zealand (the Rt Hon John Key MP) at Government House.

His Royal Highness received the Leader of the Opposition (Mr David Shearer MP).

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall subsequently attended a Birthday Celebration given by the Governor-General and Lady Mateparae at Government House.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended a Reception for Women Community Leaders at Government House.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and The Countess of Wessex this morning attended a Breakfast Meeting at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London W1.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, later held the United Kingdom Trustees’ Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

The Earl of Wessex, Royal Colonel, 2nd Battalion The Rifles, this afternoon received Lieutenant Colonel Marc Overton upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this evening attended the Trustees’ Dinner at Lancaster House, London SW1.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended the Royal Victorian Order Evensong in The Queen’s Chapel of the Savoy, Savoy Hill, London WC2, followed by a Reception.

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, later attended the Maritime Media Awards at the Institute of Directors, 116-123 Pall Mall, London SW1, and was received by Commander John Ludgate (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, President, this morning attended a Service at Christ’s Hospital, Horsham, to mark the Four Hundred and Sixtieth Anniversary of the founding of the School, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex (Mrs Susan Pyper).

His Royal Highness this afternoon presented The Queen’s Award for Enterprise to Metricell Limited, Barclays House, 51 Bishopric, Horsham.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning arrived at Royal Air Force Brize Norton from the Falkland Islands.

Mr Nicholas Marden was in attendance.

Princess Alexandra, President, Royal Humane Society, this afternoon attended the Stanhope Gold Medal Luncheon at the Canadian High Commission, Grosvenor Square, London W1.
