COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace 

His Excellency Dr Ivan Grdešic was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Croatia to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Grdešic was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr Sabit Abbe Alley was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of South Sudan to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Alley was also received by Her Majesty.

Mr Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

Mr Christopher Prentice was received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon his appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Italian Republic.

Mrs Prentice was also received by Her Majesty.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by the Lady Susan Hussey at the Memorial Service for Sir Geoffrey Shakerley, Bt. which was held in St Luke’s Church, Sydney Street, London SW3, today.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall were represented by Mrs Gerald Ward.

The Duke of York was represented by Mr Charles Barnett.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex were represented by the Lady Alexandra Etherington.

The Princess Royal was represented by Leonora, Countess of Lichfield.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by Mrs Howard Page.

The Duke and Duchess of Kent were represented by Mr Nicolas Adamson.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy was represented by Lieutenant Colonel Gordon Birdwood.

Buckingham Palace 

The Countess of Wessex, Vice Patron, the Royal Bath and West of England Society, this morning visited Colesbourne Park, Colesbourne, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Dame Janet Trotter).

Her Royal Highness, Vice Patron, the Royal Bath and West of England Society, this afternoon attended a Lunch at Church Farm Barn, Yanworth, Gloucestershire.

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal this morning opened the library and student support building at Bishop Grosseteste University College, Newport, Lincoln, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire (Mr Anthony Worth).

Her Royal Highness afterwards opened Deans Sport and Leisure, Lincoln College, Monks Road, Lincoln.

The Princess Royal this afternoon visited Lindum Business Park, Station Road, Northy Hykeham, Lincoln.
