The Queen today received the Archbishop of Canterbury (the Most Reverend Justin Welby) who did homage upon his appointment.
The Rt Hon Christopher Grayling MP (Lord Chancellor) administered the Oath.
The Bishop of Guildford (Clerk of the Closet) was in attendance.
The following were received in audience by The Queen upon their appointment as Lieutenant Governors: The Hon Frank Lewis (Prince Edward Island), Brigadier General the Hon John Grant (Nova Scotia) and the Hon Judith Guichon (British Columbia).
Mrs Lewis, Mrs. Grant and Mr Bruno Mailloux were also received by Her Majesty.
Lieuenant Colonel Alexander Matheson of Matheson, younger was received by The Queen who invested him with the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order.
The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.
The Duke of Edinburgh this evening held a Reception for the Everitt-Butterfield Fellowship at The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall this morning met members of the community affected by the recent floods in Braunton and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Devon (Mr Eric Dancer).
His Royal Highness this afternoon visited HMS Bulwark at sea.
The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Third Millennium Campaign, and The Duchess of Cornwall later attended a Service of Thanksgiving in Exeter Cathedral, followed by a Reception.
The Duchess of Cornwall, Commodore-in-Chief, Royal Naval Medical Services, this afternoon visited Hasler Company and subsequently, as Commodore-in-Chief, attended a Reception for the Naval Chaplaincy Service at Her Majesty’s Naval Base Devonport, Plymouth.

His Royal Highness later received His Excellency Mr Konstantin Dimitrov (Ambassador from Bulgaria to the Court of St James’s).

The Princess Royal, Patron, Opportunity International United Kingdom, this morning received Mr John Ford upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr Terrence Watson upon assuming the appointment.
Mr Edward Fox (Chief Executive) was present.
Her Royal Highness, Past Master, the Worshipful Company of Butchers, later attended the Meat Training Council’s Annual Awards Ceremony and Luncheon at Butchers’ Hall, 87-88 Bartholomew Close, London EC1.
