COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace 

Superintendent Gregory Peters, Director of Strategic Partnership and Heritage Branch, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, was received by The Queen today when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Member of the Royal Victorian Order.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, the Federation of London Youth Clubs, this morning visited Woodrow High House, Cherry Lane, Amersham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Bt).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Brigadier David Innes (Lieutenant of The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Lieutenant Colonel John Moss (formerly Lieutenant of The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard) which was held in the Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, London SW1, this morning.

The Prince of Wales was represented by Colonel Robert ffrench Blake.

The Duke of Kent was represented by Captain Charles Pearson.

The Duke of Edinburgh was represented by Mr Richard Jewson (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk) at the Funeral of Mr Michael Falcon which was held in St Nicholas Minster, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, this afternoon.

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal, Member, International Olympic Committee, this morning received Dr Thomas Bach (Vice President).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon attended the Grand Military Race Meeting at Sandown Racecourse and was received by Mr Gordon Lee-Steere (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey).

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester this morning opened the newly restored Abingdon County Hall Museum, Market Place, Abingdon, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire (Mr Timothy Stevenson).

His Royal Highness today opened the new Vale House, Sandford Road, Littlemore, Oxford.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon attended the launch of the University Church Development Project at the University Church of St Mary the Virgin, High Street, Oxford.
