Admiral Sir Mark Stanhope was received by The Queen this afternoon upon relinquishing his appointment as First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff.

The Rt Hon George Osborne MP (Chancellor of the Exchequer) had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Admiral and Member, the Royal Yacht Squadron, this morning received Mr Michael Campbell upon relinquishing his appointment as Commodore and Mr Christopher Sharples upon assuming the appointment.

The Duke of Gloucester, representing The Queen, accompanied by The Duchess of Gloucester, this morning attended the Inaugural Mass for His Holiness Pope Francis in St Peter’s Square, Vatican City, Rome, Italy.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited the British School in Muscat, Oman, and unveiled the Foundation Stone for the School’s new extension.

His Royal Highness later visited HMS Northumberland in Muscat.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited Knowledge Oasis Muscat and joined a round table discussion on the challenges facing entrepreneurs in Oman.

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited the “Kids Read” project at Shams Al Ma’aref School, Muscat.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Omani Women Association at Al-Mudhibi, Muscat.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall later departed from Muscat Seeb International Airport for the United Kingdom and arrived this evening at Royal Air Force Brize Norton.

Mr Simon Martin, Mrs Amanda MacManus, Mr Patrick Harverson, Miss Laura McCleary and Major Peter Flynn were in attendance.

The Duke of Cambridge, Royal Patron, Child Bereavement UK, this afternoon attended a Luncheon at the Ritz London, 150 Piccadilly, London W1.
