Windsor Castle
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning arrived in Oxford and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire (Mr Timothy Stevenson).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness drove to Christ Church Cathedral and were received at the West Door by the Bishop of Oxford (the Right Reverend John Pritchard), the Dean (the Very Reverend Christopher Lewis) and Chapter.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh attended the Maundy Service at which Her Majesty distributed the Royal Maundy.
The Right Reverend John Inge (Lord High Almoner) and the Reverend Prebendary William Scott (Sub-Almoner) were present.
The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness afterwards joined representatives of the Chapter, the Diocese, Christ Church and the Royal Almonry at a Reception in the Deanery.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were entertained to Luncheon in Hall at Oriel College by the Provost (Sir Derek Morris) this afternoon and were also received by the Lord Mayor of Oxford (Councillor Mohammed Abbasi).
By command of Her Majesty, Mr Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Alain Giorgio Maria Economides at 4 Grosvenor Square, London W1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from Italy to the Court of St James’s.

The Prince of Wales today visited Cumbria and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (Mrs Peter Hensman).
His Royal Highness, Patron, The Prince’s Countryside Fund, this morning visited Land Rover, Kitridding Farm, Old Town, near Kirkby Lonsdale.
The Prince of Wales afterwards visited Kirkby Lonsdale town centre.
His Royal Highness this afternoon visited St Mary’s Church Kirkby Lonsdale.
The Prince of Wales later attended a Reception at Thorns Hall, Cautley Road, Sedbergh, to mark the Centenary of HF Holidays.
His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Meeting of the National Centre for the Uplands at Thorns Hall.
The Prince of Wales later visited Bonds Precision Castings Limited, Potters Loaning, Alston.
Buckingham Palace
The Duke of York, Commodore-in-Chief, Fleet Air Arm, this morning visited Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton, Ilchester, Somerset.
His Royal Highness his afternoon visited the Meteorological Office in FitzRoy Road, Exeter, and was received by Vice Admiral Sir Richard Ibbotson (Deputy Lieutenant of Devon).
Kensington Palace
The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester this evening attended a Reception and Lecture for the Scientific Exploration Society at the Royal Geographical Society, I Kensington Gore, London SW7, to commemorate the Bicentenary of the birth of Dr David Livingstone.
