Windsor Castle 

The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon opened the Turing Centre at Bourne Grammar School, South Road, Bourne, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire (Mr Anthony Worth).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Mr Jonathan Marsden (Director of the Royal Collection and Surveyor of The Queen’s Works of Art) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Sir Geoffrey de Bellaigue (Surveyor Emeritus of The Queen’s Works of Art and formerly Director of the Royal Collection) which was held in St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, this afternoon.

The Prince of Wales was represented by Sir Hugh Roberts.

The Duke of York was represented by Miss Charlotte Manley.

The Earl of Wessex was represented by Mr Christopher Lloyd.

The Princess Royal was represented by Lady Carew Pole.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by the Hon Lady Roberts.

The Duke of Kent was represented by Mr Andrew Palmer.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy was represented by Lieutenant Colonel Gordon Birdwood.

Clarence House 

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay this morning received Mr Luke Borwick (Chairman, Scottish Land and Estates) and Mr Douglas McAdam (Chief Executive).

His Royal Highness, Patron, the British Horse Loggers, later viewed a demonstration of woodland management techniques by teams of horse loggers.

Buckingham Palace 

The Duke of York this morning visited St Paul’s Way Transformation Project at St Paul’s Way Trust School, 125 St Paul’s Way, London E3.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Royal National Orthopædic Hospital, this afternoon received Professor Timothy Briggs (Director of Strategy and External Affairs).

The Duke of York later received Dame Lucy Neville-Rolfe upon relinquishing her appointment as Executive Director Corporate and Legal Affairs, Tesco Plc and Ms Rebecca Shelley upon assuming the appointment.

Mr Philip Clarke (Chief Executive Officer, Tesco Plc) was also received by His Royal Highness.

The Duke of York afterwards held a Meeting for the Open University Future Learn Project.

His Royal Highness this evening held a Dinner at Buckingham Palace for University Research Fellows of the Royal Society.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning attended a Meeting at the Lanesborough, Hyde Park Corner, London SW1.

His Royal Highness, Honorary Liveryman, the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, afterwards attended the Education Committee Meeting at Haberdashers’ Hall, 18 West Smithfield, London EC1.

The Earl of Wessex, Upper Warden, the Worshipful Company of Gardeners, this afternoon held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, this evening attended a Reception and a Dinner at Coutts and Company, 440 Strand, London WC2.

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal, President, Racing Welfare, this morning received Brigadier Cedric Burton upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief Executive and Mrs Lesley Graham upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, President, Save the Children UK, this afternoon attended the Petersfield Branch Fundraising “Big Sale” at the Festival Hall, Heath Road, Petersfield, to mark its Fiftieth Anniversary, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Dame Mary Fagan).

The Princess Royal, President, Victim Support, later attended a Conference and Awards Ceremony at the Ramada Plaza London Gatwick, Tinsley Lane South, Three Bridges, Crawley, and was received by the Earl of Lytton (Deputy Lieutenant of Sussex).

Her Royal Highness Patron, Special Forces Club, this evening attended a Reception at Tower Bridge, London SE1.

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester, President, British Expertise, this morning received Mr Graham Hand upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief Executive and Ms Tracey Smith upon assuming the appointment.

St James’s Palace 

The Duke of Kent this morning received the Australian High Commissioner (His Excellency the Hon Michael Rann).

His Royal Highness later attended the Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch in support of the Army Benevolent Fund the Soldiers’ Charity at Guildhall, Gresham Street, London EC2.

The Duke of Kent, President of the Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences (United Kingdom Fund), this afternoon received Mrs Elizabeth Gawith and Mr David Ward (Trustees).
