Windsor Castle

The President of the United Arab Emirates this afternoon visited No 10 Downing Street and had talks with the Prime Minister.

The President, accompanied by The Duke of York, afterwards visited Westminster Abbey where His Highness laid a Wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.

The President of the United Arab Emirates subsequently attended a Meeting with The Prince of Wales at Clarence House.

The President of the United Arab Emirates, with the United Arab Emirates Suite in attendance, then concluded the State Visit to The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, Corps of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, this morning presented Operational Medals to One Close Support Battalion at Catterick Garrison, Yorkshire.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Trust, this morning held a Meeting at Clarence House.

His Royal Highness this afternoon received the Rt Hon Edward Davey MP (Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change) and the Rt Hon Gregory Barker MP (Minister of State for Energy and Climate Change).

The Prince of Wales this evening held a Reception for the Samaritans’ Sixtieth Anniversary at Clarence House.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this afternoon gave a Luncheon at Buckingham Palace on the occasion of the State Visit of The President of the United Arab Emirates to The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

The Countess of Wessex this morning visited Chilterns Multiple Sclerosis Centre, Oakwood Close, Wendover, Aylesbury, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Bt).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Highfield Park Trust and Earthworks, West Lodge, Hill End Lane, St Albans, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire (the Countess of Verulam).

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Royal College of Midwives, this morning visited the Maternity Unit at Victoria Hospital, Kirkaldy, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Fife (Mrs Margaret Dean).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Scotland’s Churches Trust, this afternoon attended the Biennial Meeting at Dunfermline Abbey, followed by a Reception at the Glen Pavilion, Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline, Fife.

The Princess Royal afterwards planted a commemorative tree to mark the Carnegie United Kingdom Trust’s Centenary, Pittencrieff Park.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for Ireland and was received upon arrival in Dublin by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Ireland (His Excellency Mr Dominic Chilcott).

His Royal Highness, President, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, this afternoon visited Glasnevin Cemetery, Finglass Road, Dublin.

The Duke of Kent was later received by The President of Ireland at Aras an Uachtarain, Dublin.

His Royal Highness later visited Kilmainham Churchyard, St James Church, Kilmainham, County Dublin.

The Duke of Kent, President, this evening attended a Dinner given by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission at the Four Season Hotel, 4 Simmonscourt Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin.
