Buckingham Palace 

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning attended a Service in the Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace for Members of the Order of Merit and afterwards gave a Luncheon for Members of the Order of Merit at Buckingham Palace at which The Prince of Wales was present.

The following had the honour of being invited: the Reverend Professor Owen Chadwick and Mr Stephen Chadwick, Sir Michael and Lady Atiyah, the Lord and Lady Foster of Thames Bank, Sir Anthony and Lady Caro, Professor Sir Roger and Lady Penrose, Sir Tom Stoppard and Ms Sabrina Guinness, Professor the Lord and Lady May of Oxford, the Lord and Lady Rothschild, Sir David Attenborough, the Baroness Boothroyd and Mr Anthony Murkett, Professor Sir Michael Howard and Mr Mark James, Sir Tim-othy Berners-Lee and Ms Rosemary Leith, the Right Reverend the Lord and Lady Eames, the Lord and Lady Rees of Ludlow, the Rt Hon Jean and Mrs Chrétien, Mr Neil MacGregor, Mr David Hockney and Mr Jean-Pierre Goncalves de Lima, the Bishop of London and Mrs Chartres, and the Lord Fellowes (Secretary and Registrar of the Order of Merit) and the Lady Jane Fellowes.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, this evening attend the Annual Air League Reception at St James’s Palace.

Clarence House 

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Regeneration Trust, this morning received the Hon Mark Bridges.

His Royal Highness, President, Foundation for Building Community, this afternoon received Dr Peter Bonfield (Building Research Establishment).

The Prince of Wales received the Rt Hon Vincent Cable MP (Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills).

His Royal Highness, Patron, this evening gave a Reception for the Ton Class Association.

The Duchess of Cornwall this evening visited the “Rory McEwan: the Colours of Reality” Exhibition at the Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Richmond, Surrey, and was received by Sir Kenneth Knight (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

St James’s Palace 

Prince Henry of Wales this morning visited areas of New Jersey, United States of America, affected by Hurricane Sandy.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Reception given by Her Majesty’s Government’s Great campaign at Milk Studios, New York City, and was received by Her Majesty’s Consul-General for New York (Mr D. Lopez).

Prince Henry of Wales, Patron, later launched a partnership between The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry and Harlem RBI in Harlem, New York.

His Royal Highness, Patron, this evening attended a Dinner for the American Friends of The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry at the Four Seasons Hotel, New York.

Buckingham Palace 

The Duke of York, Patron, Harwell Oxford Science and Innovation Campus, this afternoon opened the Satellite Applications Catapult, Electron Building, Fermi Avenue, Harwell Oxford, Didcot, and was received by Mr John Harwood (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire).

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, today attended a Trustees’ Meeting at the Savoy Hotel, Strand, London WC2.

The Countess of Wessex this morning departed from St Pancras International Railway Station for France and was received later on arrival at the Gare du Nord, Paris, by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the French Republic (His Excellency Sir Peter Ricketts).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Central School of Ballet, this evening attended a performance and Dinner at the Residence in Paris.

Mrs Angus Galletley is in attendance.

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester this morning opened Pye Green Community Centre, Hednesford, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Mr Ian Dudson).

His Royal Highness subsequently opened Whitemoor Lakes Recreational Activity and Development Training Centre, Barley Green Lane, Lichfield.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon opened Chestnut Grange, All Saints Road, Burton-upon-Trent.

His Royal Highness this evening attended the “Charles Correa: India’s Greatest Architect” Exhibition at the Royal Institute of British Architects, 66 Portland Place, London W1.

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon opened the Activities, Recreation and College building at St Elizabeth’s Centre, Perry Green, Much Hadham, and was received by Mr Richard Beazley (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire).

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Haileybury College, Hertford Heath, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire (the Countess of Verulam).
