The President of the Republic of Croatia and Professor Dr Tatjana Josipovic visited The Queen today.
The following officers of The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were received by Her Majesty: Brigadier David Innes who delivered up his Stick of Office as Clerk of the Cheque and Adjutant and received his Stick of Office upon his appointment as Lieutenant, Colonel Michael Kingscote who delivered up his Stick of Office as Ensign and received his Stick of Office upon his appointment as Clerk of the Cheque and Adjutant, Major Henry Robertson who delivered up his Stick of Office as Exon and received his Stick of Office upon his appointment as Ensign, and Major Simon Treadgold who received his Stick of Office as Exon.
The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mrs. Sarah Dickson (the Republic of Guatemala and the Republic of Honduras), Mr Robin Ord-Smith (the Republic of Tajikistan) and Mr Simon Tonge (the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire).
Mr Philip Dickson and Mrs Tonge were also received by Her Majesty.
Mr James Thornton was received in audience by The Queen upon his appointment as British High Commissioner to the Republic of Zambia.
Mrs Thornton was also received by Her Majesty.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of Buckingham Palace.
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duchess of Cambridge, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and The Duke of Kent were present.
Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen-at-Arms and The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.
The Bands of the Welsh Guards and the Royal Air Force Squadronaires played selections of music during the afternoon.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, the Cutty Sark Trust, this morning received the Lord Sterling of Plaistow (Chairman).
His Royal Highness, Grand Master, Order of the British Empire, this afternoon attended a Luncheon at the Garrick Club, 15 Garrick Street, London WC2.

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Regeneration Trust, this morning held a Meeting at Clarence House.
His Royal Highness, President, afterwards held a Meeting for Business in the Community.
The Prince of Wales this afternoon held a Meeting for Duchy Originals’ Waitrose at Clarence House.
His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community, this evening gave a Dinner at St James’s Palace.
The Duchess of Cornwall, President, Royal Voluntary Service, this morning attended a Service of Thanksgiving for their Seventy Fifth Anniversary, in St Paul’s Cathedral, London EC4.

The Duke of York, Patron, Kohima Educational Trust, this morning attended a Memorial Service in York Minster for the Anniversary of the Battle of Kohima and, having been received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (the Lord Crathorne), afterwards attended a Reception with Veterans and Trustees of Kohima Educational Trust in the Chapter House.
His Royal Highness, Patron, York Minster Appeal Fund, subsequently opened the Undercroft at York Minster.
The Duke of York later laid a wreath on the Kohima Memorial in Dean’s Park.
His Royal Highness, Patron, Police Treatment Centres, this afternoon re-opened the renovated Police Treatment Centre at St Andrew’s, Harrogate.

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the International Council, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Association, this morning attended a Meeting at the Intercontinental Hotel, 300 West 44th Street, New York, United States of America.
His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, afterwards visited Team Academy, 85 Custer Avenue, Newark, New Jersey.
The Earl of Wessex this afternoon attended a Luncheon given by Her Majesty’s Consul-General for New York (Mr D. Lopez).
His Royal Highness, Trustee, this evening attended a Gala Dinner for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation at J. W. Marriott Essex House New York, 160 Central Park South, New York.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Women’s Royal Naval Service Benevolent Trust, today attended the Annual General Meeting and Reception at the National Museum of the Royal Navy, Her Majesty’s Naval Base, Portsmouth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Dame Mary Fagan).
Her Royal Highness, Patron, National Museum of the Royal Navy, this afternoon visited the redevelopment of the Modern Navy Galleries in Storehouse 10, Her Majesty’s Naval Base Portsmouth.
