COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace 

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Reception at St James’s Palace today for The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, at which The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and The Duke of Kent were present.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this evening attended a Reception at the Royal Geographical Society, 1 Kensington Gore, London SW7, to celebrate the Sixtieth Anniversary of the Ascent of Mount Everest, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer), the Director, Royal Geographical Society (Dr Rita Gardner), the Chairman, Mount Everest Foundation (Colonel Henry Day) and the Chairman, Himalayan Trust UK (Ms Rebecca Stephens).

The Duke of Edinburgh, Founder and Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Association, this morning received Mr Rex Morgan.

His Royal Highness, Patron and Twelfth Man, the Lord’s Taverners, afterwards received Mr Timothy Berg upon relinquishing his appointment as Acting Chief Executive and Mr Paul Robin upon assuming the appointment of Chief Executive.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this morning called upon The President of the Republic of Armenia at the Presidential Palace, Yerevan, Armenia.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Concert and Reception at the Armenian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, Yerevan, and afterwards attended a Gala Dinner at the Florence Restaurant to celebrate the work of the Yerevan My Love Charitable Foundation.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Patron, this afternoon visited London Metropolitan University, 236-250 Holloway Road, London N7.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Action on Hearing Loss and Deafness Research UK, later received Mr Paul Breckell (Chief Executive Officer, Action on Hearing Loss) and Ms Vivienne Michael (Chief Executive Officer, Deafness Research UK).

The Duke of York, Grand Master, the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators, this evening attended a Dinner at the Mansion House, London EC4.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Corps of Signals, today attended the 2nd Signal Regiment Homecoming Parade at Imphal Barracks, Fulford Road, York.

Kensington Palace 

The Duchess of Gloucester, Honorary President, the Lawn Tennis Association, in support of the Tennis Foundation, this afternoon opened the renovated Bruce Castle Park Pavilion, Sports and Café, Lordship Lane, Tottenham, London N17, and was received by Major Rosemary Warne (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Protector of the Anglo-Danish Society’s Scholarship Programme, this evening attended a Reception at the Residence of the Danish Ambassador in London.
