Buckingham Palace
The Queen, Royal Colonel, this morning visited The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland at Howe Barracks, Canterbury, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Kent (the Viscount De L’Isle), the Colonel of the Regiment (Lieutenant General Andrew Graham) and the Lord Mayor of Canterbury (Councillor Heather Taylor).
Her Majesty was received on Parade Square with a Royal Salute.
The Queen inspected the Guard and the Battalion subsequently marched past Her Majesty.
The Queen, escorted by the Commanding Officer (Lieutenant Colonel Neil Den-McKay), then toured the Barracks, meeting soldiers, families and supporters of the Battalion, viewing capability displays and meeting soldiers from the newly formed Balaklava Company.
Her Majesty was entertained to Luncheon in the Officers’ Mess this afternoon by the Commanding Officer.
The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Duke of York this evening attended the Pew Charitable Trusts’ Dinner for Ocean Conservancy at St. James’s Palace.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, this morning attended a Breakfast Meeting given by the British Slovenian Chamber of Commerce at the Hotel Slon, Slovenska Cesta 34, Ljubljana, Slovenia.
His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, accompanied by The President of the Republic of Slovenia, later attended a Reception at Brdo Pri Kranju, Predoslje, Kranj, for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended a Luncheon given by The President of the Republic of Slovenia at Grad Brdo, Predoslje, Kranj.
The Countess of Wessex this morning visited Soca University Rehabilitation Institute, Lihartova, Ljubljana.
Her Royal Highness afterwards visited the Cirius Kamnik Centre for Education and Rehabilitation of Physically Handicapped Children and Adolescents at Kamnik.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex later arrived at Farnborough Airport, Hampshire, from Slovenia.
Mrs Rosemary Hamer and Mrs Suzanne Lofthouse-Jackson were in attendance.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Youth Support Services, this morning attended an “Offender Mental Health” Conference at the Park Inn Hotel, Forgegate, Telford, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire (Mr Algernon Heber-Percy).
Her Royal Highness this afternoon launched the Oakland Foundation and attended a Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Symposium at Oakland International Limited, Seafield Lane, Beoley, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire (Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Holcroft).
