COURT CIRCULAR

Palace of Holyroodhouse 

The Queen held an Investiture at the Palace of Holyroodhouse this morning.

The Rt Hon Alex Salmond MSP (First Minister of the Scottish Executive) was received in audience by Her Majesty today.

Mrs Patricia Marwick MSP (Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament) was received in audience by The Queen.

The Lord Selkirk of Douglas (Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland) was received by Her Majesty and reported on the recent proceedings of the General Assembly.

Captain Rory Maclachlan, winner of the annual shooting event of The Queen’s Body Guard for Scotland, Royal Company of Archers, was presented to Her Majesty and received The Queen’s Prize.

The Queen gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

The Earl of Wessex was present.

The Queen’s Body Guard for Scotland, Royal Company of Archers and the High Constables of the Palace of Holyroodhouse were on duty.

The Band of The Royal Regiment of Scotland, the Band of the Parachute Regiment and the Royal Scottish Pipers’ Society played selections of music during the afternoon.

Clarence House 

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited Rhug Chapel, Corwen, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Clwyd (Mr Henry Fetherstonhaugh).

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards visited Rhug Farm Shop, Corwen.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited the Llwyn Isaf anaerobic digester and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwynedd (His Honour Huw Morgan Daniel).

Their Royal Highnesses later visited Pistyll Church, Pwllheli.

Buckingham Palace 

The Duke of York, Patron, City Gateway, this afternoon received Mr E. Stride (Chief Executive Officer) and Mr Dirk Paterson (Chairman of the Trustees).

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this evening attended a Dinner in Edinburgh.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, the London Children’s Flower Society, this morning visited the Vale School within Northumberland Park Community School, Trulock Road, London N17, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon attended the Worshipful Company of Glovers’ Livery Luncheon at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal, Patron, the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, this morning visited Stratford-upon-Avon and District’s Citizens Advice Bureau, 25 Meer Street, Stratfordupon-Avon, to mark their Fortieth Anniversary and was received by Mrs Jane Rutherford (Deputy Lieutenant of Warwickshire).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, later attended the launch of the College of Occupational Therapists’ Strategic Plan for 2013 to 2018 at Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Rothwell Road, Kettering, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire (the Lady Juliet Townsend).

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Not Forgotten Association, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, held an Afternoon Party in the garden of Buckingham Palace.

The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard was on duty.

The Band of the Life Guards played selections of music during the afternoon.

Her Royal Highness, Past Master, the Worshipful Company of Farriers, this evening attended the Masters’ Reception in the Royal Mews, Buckingham Palace.

St James’s Palace 

The Duke of Kent, President, Wellington College, this morning received Sir Michael Rake (Chairman of the Board of Trustees).

His Royal Highness, President, Royal Choral Society, this evening attended a performance of Mendelssohn’s Elijah at the Barbican, Silk Street, London EC2.
