The Queen was represented by Mr Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Sir James Bottomley (formerly Her Majesty’s Ambassador to South Africa) which was held in St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, London SW1, this afternoon.

The Duke of York this afternoon attended the Digital Summer Camp at Hackney Community College, Falkirk Street, London N1.

His Royal Highness, Fellow, The Royal Society, afterwards attended the Royal Society Fellows Day at 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1.

The Earl of Wessex today visited Herefordshire and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (the Countess of Darnley).

His Royal Highness this morning opened the Hereford Academy, Marlbrook Road, Hereford.

The Earl of Wessex this afternoon visited the Oval, Newton Farm, Hereford.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Hinton Community Centre, Ross Road, Hereford.

The Earl of Wessex subsequently visited the Kindle Centre, Asda Supermarket, Belmont Road, Hereford.

His Royal Highness later visited KGD Industrial Services Limited, Netherwood Road, Rotherwas Industrial Estate, Hereford.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Parkinson’s UK, this afternoon presented the Mervyn Peake Awards at Merchant Taylors’ Hall, 30 Threadneedle Street, London EC2.
