Balmoral Castle 

By command of The Queen, Ms Anna Clunes (Vice-Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Dr Zola Skweyiya at South Africa House, London WC2, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for the Republic of South Africa in London.

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl of Wessex, Vice Patron, Commonwealth Games Federation, today carried out the following engagements in Glasgow.

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Tollcross International Swimming Centre at 350 Wellshot Road and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow (Councillor Sadie Docherty, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

The Earl of Wessex later visited the Commonwealth Games Village, Springfield Road, Dalmarnock.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel, 1 William Street.
