The Duke of York this evening ­attended a Reception to mark the Fortieth Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the United Kingdom and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at Cadogan Hall, 5 Sloane Terrace, London SW1.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning attended a Reception for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award at Belfast Harbour Office, Corporation Square, Belfast, and was received by Her ­Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast (Dame Mary Peters).

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Sports Hall and attended a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award ­Volunteer Reception at Killyleagh Outdoor Education Centre, Downpatrick Road, Killyleagh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Down (Mr David Lindsay).

The Earl of Wessex later attended a Garden Party at Hillsborough ­Castle.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, the National Autistic Society, this morning opened Chitra Sethia ­Autism Centre, Fulbourn Hospital, Fulbourn, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of ­Cambridgeshire (Mr Hugh Duberly).

Her Royal Highness, Honorary Air Commodore, this afternoon visited Royal Air Force Wittering, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
