By command of The Queen, Mr Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Alexandros Zenon at 5 Cheyne Walk, London SW3, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for the Republic of Cyprus in London.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Captain General, Royal Marines, was represented by Lieutenant General Sir Henry Beverley (formerly Commandant General) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of General Sir Ian Gourlay (formerly Commandant General) which was held in the Chapel of the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, London SE10, this afternoon.

His Royal Highness this morning called upon the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (His Excellency Mr Bui Thanh Son) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Duke of York afterwards presented The Duke of York Scholarship Awards at British University Vietnam.
His Royal Highness later attended a Roundtable Meeting with University Vice Chancellors at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi.
The Duke of York this afternoon attended a Lunch with Vietnamese Entrepreneurs at the Residence.
His Royal Highness later called upon the Deputy Prime Minister (His Excellency Nguyen Thien Nhan) at the Offices of the Government of Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The Duke of York afterwards called upon the Chairman of the National Assembly for the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Mr Nguyen Sinh Hung) at the Office of Government for the National Assembly.
His Royal Highness subsequently attended Roundtable with British Council Alumni Leaders Group at the Residence.
The Duke of York later attended a Reception to mark British Education at the Residence.

The Countess of Wessex this morning visited the Qatar Foundation and Qatar Science Technology Park in Doha, Qatar.
Her Royal Highness this evening arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Qatar.

The Duke of Gloucester, Liveryman and Honorary Freeman, the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, and The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon visited the Goldsmiths’ Fair at Goldsmiths’ Hall, Foster Lane, London EC2.
His Royal Highness, Royal Patron, the Strawberry Hill Trust, this evening attended the Horace Walpole Birthday Dinner at Strawberry Hill House, 268 Waldergrave Road, Twickenham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).
