COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr Pasquale Terracciano was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Italy to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Terracciano was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr Andris Teikmanis was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Latvia to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Inguna Penike was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

His Excellency Mr. Kamalesh Sharma (Commonwealth Secretary-General) was received by The Queen this afternoon.

The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, Army Cadet Force Association, this morning received Brigadier Michael Wharmby upon reliquishing his appointment as General Secretary and Brigadier David Short upon assuming the appointment.

Clarence House 

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning received Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands.

Her Royal Highness today attended the British Food Fortnight Harvest Festival Service in Westminster Abbey, London SW1.

The Duchess of Cornwall later received Miss Marlene Shiels (Chief Executive, Capital Credit Union).

The Duke of York, Patron, this afternoon opened Founder’s House, Whitgift School, Haling Park, South Croydon, Surrey.

His Royal Highness later visited Winn and Coales Denso Limited, Denso House, Chapel Road, London SE27, and was received by Major David Hewer (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duke of York afterwards received Ms Annika Small (Chief Executive Officer, Nominet Trust).

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal, Patron, the National Museum of the Royal Navy, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence this evening attended a Dinner for the Modern Navy Galleries, Trinity House, Trinity Square, Tower Hill, London EC3.

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester this morning opened Sheffield University Technical College, Shoreham Street, Sheffield, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of South Yorkshire (Mr David Moody).

His Royal Highness later opened the Millowners Arms and visited the Millowners Conservation Centre at Kelham Island, Sheffield.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon opened the Fred and Ann Green Rehabilitation Centre at Montagu Hospital, Adwick Road, Mexborough.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Inditherm plc, Houndhill Park, Rotherham.

St James’s Palace 

The Duke of Kent, First Grand Principal of the Supreme Grand Chapter of England, this afternoon attended the Grand Chapter’s Bi-Centenary Celebration at Freemasons’ Hall, Great Queen Street, London WC2, and subsequently at the Savoy Hotel, Strand, London WC2.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park 

Princess Alexandra this afternoon opened the new Lower School at Rokeby School, George Road, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, and was received by Colonel Geoffrey Godbold (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
