Buckingham Palace

The President of the Republic of Korea, with the Korean Suite in attendance, left Buckingham Palace this morning upon the conclusion of the State Visit to The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

His Excellency Mr. Joslyn Whiteman was received by The Queen today upon his appointment as High Commissioner for Grenada in London.

Mrs. Whiteman was also received by Her Majesty.

Mrs. Mark Anderson was received by The Queen upon relinquishing her appointment as Communications and Press Secretary to Her Majesty.

Mr. Michael Sykes was received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Member of the Royal Victorian Order.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Life Member, this morning planted a Cross of Remembrance in the Royal British Legion Field of Remembrance at St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, London SW1.

His Royal Highness, Honorary Air Commodore, this evening attended a Dining-In Night at Royal Air Force Northolt, West End Road, Ruislip, Middlesex.

The Earl Peel (Lord Chamberlain) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this morning upon the Departure of The President of the Republic of Korea and bade farewell to Her Excellency on behalf of The Queen.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall today carried out engagements in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India.

Their Royal Highnesses this morning visited the Indian Military Academy.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon received an Honorary Doctorate at the Forest Research Institute.

His Royal Highness later visited Navdanya Bija Vidyapeeth Farm.

The Prince of Wales this evening received Mr. Vijay Bahuguna (Chief Minister of Uttarakhand) at the Ananda Hotel, Narendranagar.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards attended a Reception at the Ananda Hotel for Uttarakhand civic and business leaders and were received by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Doon School, the Mall.

Kensington Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this morning visited High Street Kensington Tube Station, London W8, to help raise awareness of London Poppy Day.

His Royal Highness, President, this afternoon visited the Royal Marsden Hospital, Fulham Road, Chelsea, London SW3.

The Duke of Cambridge, President, this evening held a Dinner at Kensington Palace for the Royal Marsden Hospital.

The Duke of York this morning held an Education and Business Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended the Printing Charity Annual Luncheon at Stationers’ Hall, Ave Maria Lane, London EC4.

The Duke of York afterwards visited Teens and Toddlers in the Nursery at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Primary School, Shrewsbury Road, London W2.

His Royal Highness this evening opened Pop Up Piccadilly, 211/214 Piccadilly, London W1.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, accompanied by The Countess of Wessex, was officially installed this morning as Chancellor of the University of Bath in Bath Abbey and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Lady Gass).

Subsequently His Royal Highness, Chancellor, having been presented with an Honorary Degree from the University of Bath, presented Honorary Degrees to others.

The Earl of Wessex, Chancellor, accompanied by The Countess of Wessex, this afternoon opened the Chancellors’ Building at the University of Bath.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, this morning attended the Thirtieth Anniversary celebrations of Forres, Nairn and District Group at Burgie House, Forres, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Moray (Lieutenant Colonel Grenville Johnston).

Her Royal Highness later presented The Queen’s Award for International Trade to Speymalt Whisky Distributors Limited, George House, Borough Briggs Road, Elgin, Moray.

The Princess Royal, Guardian, Give Them A Sporting Chance, this afternoon attended a Management Team Planning Meeting at the Mansion House, the Haugh, Elgin.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Livability, this evening presented the Annual Awards at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel, 9-13 Bloomsbury Street, London WC1.

The Princess Royal, President, Animal Health Trust, afterwards attended the United Kingdom Equestrian Awards Dinner at the Lancaster London Hotel, Lancaster Terrace, London W2.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Royal Bencher, this evening attended a Lecture and Dinner at the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn, 8 South Square, London WC1.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning officially opened the new Research and Development building at Fort Vale Engineering Limited, Caldervale Park, Simonstone Lane, Simonstone, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire (the Lord Shuttleworth).

His Royal Highness this afternoon officially opened Burnley Fire Station, Belvedere Road, Burnley, Lancashire.

The Duke of Kent later officially opened the newly renovated manufacturing site at ACDC Lighting, Innovation Works, Gisburn Road, Barrowford, Lancashire.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, Colonel-in-Chief, The Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary’s), this afternoon received Colonel Richard Talbot (Honorary Colonel) at Buckingham Palace.

Her Royal Highness, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Queen’s Royal Lancers, later received Lieutenant Colonel Nigel Best upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Jules Buczacki upon assuming the appointment.

Major General Patrick Marriott (Colonel) was present.
