Buckingham Palace
The Queen held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.
The Queen, Patron, accompanied by The Duchess of Cornwall, President, this afternoon visited Barnardo’s, Tanners Lane, Barkingside, Ilford, Essex, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer), Dr David Barnardo (Vice President), Mrs Judy Clements (Chair of the Board of Trustees), Mr Peter Brook (Acting Chief Executive) and the Mayor of the London Borough of Redbridge (Councillor Felicity Banks).
Her Majesty and Her Royal Highness, escorted respectively by the Acting Chief Executive and the Chair of Trustees, toured the building, being briefed on the Care Leavers Service and Family Placement and meeting families and support workers, volunteers and staff.
The Queen and The Duchess of Cornwall subsequently opened the new Headquarters for Barnardo’s.

His Royal Highness, President, afterwards held a Meeting for The Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey Trust.

His Royal Highness later held a Meeting for Duchy Originals’ Waitrose.
The Prince of Wales afterwards attended a Meeting for The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation.

His Royal Highness this morning called upon The Consort of The Emir of the State of Qatar (Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al-Missned) at Qatar National Convention Centre.
The Duke of York this evening attended a Dinner given by The Consort of The Emir of the State of Qatar at Al Shaqab, Doha, on the occasion of the World Innovation Summit for Health.

Her Royal Highness, Commandant-in-Chief (Youth), St John Ambulance, this afternoon attended the Tenth Anniversary of the Carers’ Support Programme at Discovery Court Business Centre, West Wing Alum House, 551 Wallisdown Road, Poole, Dorset.
The Princess Royal, Patron, Livability, later visited Victoria Education Centre and Sports College, 12 Lindsay Road, Branksome Park, Poole.
Her Royal Highness, President, the Mission to Seafarers Limited, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended the Annual Carol Service in St Michael Paternoster Royal, College Hill, London EC4, followed by a Reception at Skinners’ Hall, 8 Downgate Hill, London EC4.
