COURT CIRCULAR
Buckingham Palace
The Queen, Visitor, University of London, and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, Egham, to recognise the Diamond Jubilee Regius Professorship in Music and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Dame Sarah Goad), Professor Sir Adrian Smith (Vice Chancellor, University of London) and Councillor Yvonna Lay (Mayor of Runnymede Borough Council).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness, escorted respectively by the Principal (Professor Paul Layzell) and Professor Rob Kemp (Deputy Principal), listened to musical performances in the Chapel, before meeting staff, students, alumni and Council members of the College.
The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Duke of York this morning opened the Midland Studio College, St. David’s Way, Bermuda Park, Nuneaton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire (Mr. Timothy Cox).
His Royal Highness later opened the Samsung School Professional Development Centre, Harborne Academy, Harborne Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Midlands (Mr. Paul Sabapathy).
The Duke of York, Patron, Young Engineers, this afternoon visited the Big Bang: UK Young Scientists and Engineers Fair at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, and was received by Mr. Clive Stone (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).

The Princess Royal this afternoon attended the Festival Gold Cup Day at Cheltenham Racecourse and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Dame Janet Trotter).
St James’s Palace
The Duke of Kent, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this morning officially opened the Mumbles Lifeboat Station and named a Tamar class lifeboat RNLB ROY BARKER IV at Mumbles Road, Swansea, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Glamorgan (Mr. Byron Lewis).
