COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

Her Excellency Ms. Maria Jesus de Mascarenhas was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Cabo Verde to the Court of St James’s.

His Excellency Mr Ranjan Mathai was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for India in London.

Mrs Mathai was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

Sir Thomas Allen was received by The Queen this afternoon when Her Majesty presented him with The Queen’s Medal for Music.

Sir Peter Maxwell Davies (Master of The Queen’s Music) was present.

The Rt. Hon. David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, today attended Receptions at St. James’s Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning met residents of the flood-hit community of Yalding at St. Peter and St. Paul Church, Vicarage Road Yalding, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Kent (the Viscount De L’Isle).

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards visited Teapot Island Museum, Hampstead Lane, Yalding.

The Prince of Wales, President, National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty, and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Bateman’s (the former home of Mr Rudyard Kipling), Bateman’s Lane, Burwash, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of East Sussex (Mr. Peter Field).

The Prince of Wales this evening gave a Dinner at Clarence House for Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force Officers.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, National Literacy Trust, this afternoon received Ms. Amanda Jordan upon relinquishing her appointment as Chairman and Dame Julia Cleverdon upon assuming the appointment.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Chairman of the Trustees, Outward Bound Trust, this afternoon held a Chairman’s Meeting at Buckingham Palace and gave a Luncheon for the Patron’s Company.

His Royal Highness this afternoon received Sir Richard Olver upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman of BAE Systems and Sir Roger Carr upon assuming the appointment.

The Duke of York this evening attended the Fitting-Out Dinner at the Royal Thames Yacht Club, 60 Knightsbridge, London SW1.

Buckingham Palace

The Countess of Wessex this morning opened the Heart Centre at Ipswich Hospital National Health Service Trust, Heath Road, Ipswich, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Suffolk (the Lord Tollemache).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Genesis Orwell Mencap, Wright Road, Ipswich.

The Countess of Wessex later visited Headway, Brain Injury Association, Epsilon House, West Road, Ransomes Europark, Ipswich.

The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Logistic Corps, this morning visited the Defence Logistics School, Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut, Camberley, Surrey.

Her Royal Highness, Royal Colonel, 52nd Lowland, 6th Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland, this afternoon received Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Fitzpatrick upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Garry Stimpson upon assuming the appointment.

The Princess Royal, Commandant-in-Chief (Youth), St John Ambulance, later held a Young Achievers’ Reception at Buckingham Palace.

Her Royal Highness, President, Edith Cavell Centenary Appeal, this evening attended the Cavell Nurses’ Trust Scholarship Awards Ceremony at Fishmongers Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this evening attended a Reception for Brazilian Health Ministers at the Orangery, Kensington Gardens, London W8, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon opened the Woodger Wing at the Witterings Medical Centre, Cakeham Road, East Wittering, Chichester, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex (Mrs. Susan Pyper).

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Aldingbourne Country Centre, Blackmill Lane, Norton, Chichester.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Chancellor, University of Surrey, this evening attended the launch of the 5G Innovation Centre at the Royal Academy of Engineering, 3 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1.
