COURT CIRCULAR

Windsor Castle

The Queen held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

The Queen held a Council at 12.15 p.m..

There were present: the Rt Hon Theresa May MP (Acting Lord President), the Rt Hon Vincent Cable MP (Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills), the Rt Hon Iain Duncan Smith MP (Secretary of State for Work and Pensions) and the Rt Hon Eric Pickles MP (Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government).

The Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP was sworn in as a member of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Theresa May MP had an audience of The Queen before the Council.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Senior Fellow, this evening attended the Bray Fellowship Annual Dinner at the Waterside Inn, Ferry Road, Bray, Berkshire.

Clarence House

The Duchess of Rothesay, Patron, this morning visited Crathie Opportunity Holidays, the Manse, Crathie, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire (Mr James Ingleby).

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Honorary Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Young Canadians Challenge Charter for Business, and The Countess of Wessex this afternoon gave a Lunch.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Trustees, The Prince Philip Trust Fund for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, this evening chaired a Meeting of Trustees and later attended a Dinner at Ascot Racecourse and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (the Hon Mrs Bayliss).

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Canadian Medical Service, this morning received Colonel David Weger (Deputy Commander, Canadian Forces Health Services Group).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, College of Occupational Therapists, later attended the “Improving Activity in Care Homes” Conf- erence at Skills For Care, Lynton House, 7-12 Tavistock Square, London WC1.

The Princess Royal, President, Animal Health Trust, this afternoon attended a Fellowship Reception at Vestra Wealth LLP, 14 Cornhill, London EC3.

Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of London, later opened the Clinical Phenotyping Facility at University College London In- stitute of Cardiovascular Science, 170 Tottenham Court Road, Lon- don W1.

The Princess Royal, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening opened the “Guiding Lights: 500 Years of Safety at Sea” Exhibition at the National Maritime Museum, Park Row, London SE10, and was received by Dr Pieter van der Merwe (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Army Medical Corps, this morning visited the Army Medical Training Centre, Towthorpe Lines, Towthorpe, York.

His Royal Highness, Joint President, Cancer Research UK, this afternoon attended a Luncheon for Petal Childhood Cancer Research at the Rendezvous Hotel, Keighley Road, Skipton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (the Lord Crathorne).

The Duke of Gloucester later visited Optare Group Limited, Hurricane Way South, Sherburn in Elmet, Leeds.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Osborne House Care Home, Union Lane, Selby.
