The Rt. Hon. Desmond Swayne MP (Vice-Chamberlain of the Household) was received in audience by The Queen and presented an Address from the House of Commons to which Her Majesty was graciously pleased to make reply.
Sir Paul Britton was received by The Queen upon relinquishing his appointment as the Prime Minister’s Appointments Secretary when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.
The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, The King’s Own Calgary Regiment (Royal Canadian Armoured Corps), received Lieutenant Colonel Ross Wickware upon assuming his appointment as Commanding Officer and the Hon. Daniel Hays upon relinquishing his appointment as Honorary Colonel.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Founder and Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Association, this morning received Mr. Gregory Belton (Chairman of the Trustees).
His Royal Highness, Patron, today attended Receptions at St. James’s Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Honorary Air Commodore, this morning opened the new Station Medical Centre at Royal Air Force Leeming, Northallerton, North Yorkshire.
Her Royal Highness, Commodore-in-Chief, Royal Naval Medical Services, later attended a families day and dedication of the Headquarters and College of Defence Medical Services at Whittington Barracks, Lichfield, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Mr. Ian Dudson).

The Duke of York, Patron, this morning visited Code Club at St. Thomas Primary School, Sherwood Avenue, Huddersfield, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire (Dr. Ingrid Roscoe).
His Royal Highness, Patron, the Peter Jones Foundation, afterwards visited future Peter Jones Enterprise Academy students at Kirklees College, Manchester Road, Huddersfield.
The Duke of York, Patron, University of Huddersfield, later presented students with The Duke of York Young Entrepreneur Award at the University, Firth Street, Huddersfield.
His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Pocklington School, West Green, Pocklington, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire (the Hon. Mrs. Susan Cunliffe-Lister).
