COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen this morning arrived at Reading Railway Station and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (the Hon Mrs Bayliss), the Chairman of Network Rail (Mr Richard Parry Jones), the Rt Hon Patrick McLoughlin MP (Secretary of State for Transport) and Councillor Anthony Jones (Mayor of Reading).

Her Majesty named the new High Output Plant System train BRUNEL before viewing various displays and meeting members of staff.

The Queen subsequently opened Reading Railway Station.

The Duke of Edinburgh today visited the Bloodhound Supersonic Car Project at Avonbridge Trading Estate, Avonmouth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol (Mrs John Prior).

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Soil Association, this morning visited a Duchy Originals Future Farming Field Laboratory at Eastbrook Farm, Cues Lane, Bishopstone, and met participants on His Royal Highness’s Food and Farming Summer School, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire (Mrs Peter Troughton).

Today is the Anniversary of the Birthday of The Duchess of Cornwall.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge, Patron, Imperial War Museum Foundation, this morning officially launched the new First World War Galleries and the new Atrium at the Imperial War Museum, Lambeth Road, London SE1.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Past Captain, the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, today attended the Open Championship at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club, Hoylake, Wirral, of which His Royal Highness is Patron.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, the Newcomen Society, this morning visited Rolls Royce Limited, Gloucester Road, Patchway, Bristol, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Dame Janet Trotter).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Arnos Vale Cemetery, Bath Road, Bristol, to commemorate its One Hundred and Seventy Fifth Anniversary and, having been received by Dr. Timothy Chambers (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol), opened the Underwood Centre before laying a wreath at the First World War Memorial.

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, the Newcomen Society, later visited the Bloodhound Supersonic Car Project at Avonbridge Trading Estate, Atlantic Road, Avonmouth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol (Mrs. John Prior).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies, today attended the First World War Conference at 61 Whitehall, London SW1.

His Royal Highness, President, King’s Lynn Festival Limited, this evening attended a Concert at St. George’s Guildhall, 29 King Street. King’s Lynn, Norfolk.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, Deputy President, British Red Cross Society, this afternoon visited the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service Unit at Falmouth Fire Station, Trescobeas Road, Falmouth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Edward Bolitho).

Her Royal Highness later visited Seasalt Clothing Limited, Bickland Water Road, Falmouth.
