Buckingham Palace
The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia (His Excellency General the Hon Sir Peter Cosgrove) was received in audience by The Queen this morning when Her Majesty conferred upon him the honour of Knighthood and invested him with the Insignia of a Knight of the Order of Australia.
Lady Cosgrove was also received by The Queen.
By command of The Queen, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Barnabe Kikaya Bin Karubi at 45-49 Great Portland Street, London W1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the Court of St James’s.
By command of Her Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps called upon His Excellency Mr Benedikt Jónsson at 2A Hans Street, London SW1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Iceland to the Court of St James’s.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Henry of Wales this morning visited the Poppies in the Moat Installation at HM Tower of London, London EC3, and were received by the Lord Dannatt (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
Buckingham Palace
The Princess Royal, Patron, United Kingdom Sailing Academy, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today took part in sailing races during Cowes Week and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Isle of Wight (Major General Martin White).
