Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge this morning departed Heathrow Airport, London, for Malta, and was received on arrival this afternoon at Malta International Airport by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Malta (His Excellency Mr Robert Luke).

His Royal Highness was received later by The President of the Republic of Malta at San Anton Palace.

The Duke of Cambridge afterwards called upon the Hon Dr Joseph Muscat (Prime Minister of the Republic of Malta) at Auberge de Castille.

His Royal Highness subsequently viewed the In Guardia Pageant in St. George’s Square, Valletta.

The Duke of Cambridge afterwards visited the National Library, Valletta.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception in the Upper Barrakka Gardens, Valletta, to celebrate the Fiftieth Anniversary of Maltese Independence.

Sir David Manning, Miss Rebecca Deacon and Dr Edward Perkins are in attendance.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this morning arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Canada.

Mr Timothy Roberts was in attendance.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Royal Air Force 501 (County of Gloucester) Squadron Association, this afternoon attended a Service in Bristol Cathedral to mark the Association’s Fiftieth Anniversary and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol (Mrs. John Prior).
