The Baroness Anelay of St Johns was received by The Queen today and delivered up her Badge of Office upon relinquishing her appointment as Captain of Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms.

The Lord Taylor of Holbeach was received by The Queen upon his appointment as Captain of Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms and received from The Queen his Stick of Office.

Major John Rodwell was received by The Queen upon his appointment as Standard Bearer of Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms and received from The Queen his Stick of Office.

Major Edward Crofton was received by The Queen and delivered up his Stick of Office upon relinquishing his appointment as Harbinger of Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms.

Brigadier Roger Dillon was received by The Queen upon his appointment as Harbinger of Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms and received from The Queen his Stick of Office.

The Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon was received by The Queen and took leave upon relinquishing his appointment as a Lord in Waiting to Her Majesty.

The Lord Ashton of Hyde was received by The Queen upon assuming his appointment as a Lord in Waiting to Her Majesty.

Dame Marguerite Pindling was received in audience by The Queen upon her appointment as Governor-General of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas when Her Majesty invested her with the Insignia of a Dame Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, The Queen’s Royal Hussars (The Queen’s Own and Royal Irish), this morning received Lieutenant Colonel James Howard upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Porter upon assuming the appointment.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Duchess of Cornwall this evening attended the Man Booker Prize for Fiction Award Ceremony and Dinner at Guildhall, Gresham Street, London EC2.

The Duke of York this morning visited Streatham and Clapham High School, 42 Abbotswood Road, London SW16.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Printing Charity Event for Apprentices at Hackney Community College, 40 Hoxton Street, London N1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Duke of York later visited Roli, 2 Glebe Road, London E8.

His Royal Highness, Patron, the SS Great Britain Trust, this evening held a Reception at St James’s Palace.

The Earl of Wessex, Patron, National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, this afternoon attended a performance of Macbethat the Ambassadors Theatre, West Street, London WC2.

The Princess Royal, Chancellor, University of London, this afternoon opened the renovated Institute of Historical Research Headquarters at Senate House, Malet Street, London WC1.

Her Royal Highness, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, afterwards opened the new Stable Block at Vauxhall City Farm Riding Therapy Centre, 165 Tyers Street, London SE11.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Development Trust, later received Mr Christopher Sporborg upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman.
