Buckingham Palace
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited Her Majesty’s Tower of London and were received by the Constable of Her Majesty’s Tower of London (General the Lord Dannatt) and Colonel Richard Harrold (Governor).
The Constable and Governor surrendered to The Queen the keys of Her Majesty’s Tower of London, which The Queen returned to them.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness moved through the Poppies in the Moat marking the Centenary of the First World War and The Queen laid a wreath.
Afterwards Her Majesty and His Royal Highness attended a Service of Thanksgiving and Celebration for the restoration of the Chapel Royal of Saint Peter ad Vincula, within Her Majesty’s Tower of London, and were received by Lieutenant General Peter Pearson (Lieutenant of Her Majesty’s Tower of London), the Reverend Canon Roger Hall (Chaplain) and the Bishop of London.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, Action Medical Research, his morning received Mr. Richard Price upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr. Philip Hodkinson upon assuming the appointment.
His Royal Highness, Patron and Twelfth Man, the Lord’s Taverners, this afternoon presented County Cricket Championship Medals at Buckingham Palace.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay this afternoon received the Rt. Hon. Alex Salmond MSP (First Minister of the Scottish Executive).
The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon gave a Reception at Clarence House to mark International Credit Union Day.

The Duke of York this morning visited the Advanced Manufacturing and Research Centre with Boeing, Highfield Spring, Catliffe, Rotherham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire (Mr. David Moody).
His Royal Highness, Patron, this afternoon presented The Duke of York’s Community Initiative Annual Awards at Magna Science Adventure Centre, Sheffield Road, Templeborough, Rotherham.
The Duke of York this evening attended a Business Dinner given by Bell Pottinger group at 5 Hertford Street, London W1.
